PREDICTION # 1 All About HYBRID Events

Before Coronavirus, there were plenty of in-person networking and weeklong retreats in tropical paradises like Bali. As the world recovers from the pandemic, the “new normal” of Zoom calls and virtual events will not go away.  And let’s face it, hosting big in-person events, especially post-social-distancing-and-clorox-everything world, is costly and not very efficient.

Instead, event hosts will need to leverage the power of both the virtual world & the real world to create HYBRID events. The pricing structure of these events will vary depending if you’re attending the intimate small in-person event or joining virtually halfway around the world. The allure of big crowded rooms bursting with energy is not going to be the main focus for most people post-Rona.

The main focus that will drive a successful event is all about the EXPERIENCE. From virtual concerts to receiving a participant kit in the mail (such as cocktail mix, planner guides, t-shirts, etc.), it’s all about making the participants feel connected at a human level.

PREDICTION # 2 The Power of Us

There’s a lot of individuals that decided to dip their toes into side hustles at the height of being bored during lockdown. So the market is very saturated with everyone selling similar products – this is true of most niches! This is where collaboration and JV (Joint Venture) partnerships come in.

There will be more success for individuals who partner with other like-entrepreneurs who complement their offers, boosts their expertise, and allows them to tap into each others’ audiences. Instead of competing to make it to the finish line by yourself, think of ways you can leverage the power of your network such as product bundles, book collabs, and co-hosting events.

No longer are people advertising only about their paid product, they are also giving out FREEBIES left and right. But the days of the click-bait freebies are going away. People simply do not have the time, mindshare, or email storage space (ahem, guilty).

The world has shifted thanks to everything delivery to your door, groceries ordered through an app, drive-through or curb-side only food places.
The shift has made people focus on less hassle and more convenience, whether it’s free or paid. Think of transformations and results your audience are looking for then jam it into a digestible, easy-to-access package (more on this on Prediction # 8).
