So You Think You Got a Solid Plan?

I had it all planned out. I had a late evening event after work so I would work late, work out, then go to the event. I’m all set!

Then BAM!!! Life throws a curveball at me. My hubby (now ex, thus is life plans once more) needed to get his appendix taken out.

Here is what I (re-)learned from this:

  1. It’s ok to make plans, but we must be flexible enough to act on our feet and change when the situation calls for it.
  2. Our priorities in life dictates our ‘default’ plans. It’s good to have your priorities in the right order ahead of time.
  3. God is still in control regardless of how awesome we think our plans are. His plans are better anyway (even if appendectomy seems like a sucky situation at the time) so just chillax and see #1.

So the next time you think you got a solid plan, remember you cannot always predict the future but you can surely prepare yourself for it. And when you’re there, make sure to enjoy the ride and learn as much as you can to improve your ninja skills.
